Increasing your android installs, ratings and reviews is an important way to track the success of your app but how do you do that?
You are going to have to invest in the marketing of your app if you believe in it, just like a restaurant or store advertises for their products.
Assuming that you have created an app that people will actually want (that’s a whole different conversation), you should invest some money into marketing your app. While word of mouth can help a little, I’ve found that there are some other ways you can market that will help. Working with an app development agency. I have seen people overlook these things many times, often to their detriment.
When you are sure that your app is marvelous you are ready to start your campaign. Your main goal now is to became visible and desirable for future users. You can do the next:
Build a teaser website. Do this a month or two before your launch to collect email addresses of people who would like to know when the app launches.
Choose the right app name. Coming up with a unique name for your app isn’t just a matter of branding. For best results with ASO, include relevant keywords within your title, as this text heavily factors into app store search results.
Stand out with a unique icon. When approaching your icon design, it’s important to note that the App Store and Google Play vary in their approach to, and rendering of, app icons. Both stores have preset standards for the ideal size, geometry, and color scheme of app icons, designed to match the rest of the OS.
Write description poiting out unique features (do not forget about screenshots of app).
Ask people to try it and write review (also you can use forums for this).
Increase traffic with outside promotion - you can use such service as android app promotion that provide you with installs to become visible for organic users.
App Store Optimization – Many apps are discovered by browsing the app store. By investing in some ASP services, you can increase your chances of your app showing up in one of those ‘recommended’ lists so that people give your app a try.
Target Your Audience – Are you advertising in places that your target audience will see you? If your app is not showing up in blogs and forums where your primary user base frequents, then you are missing another big opportunity. Know who you are going after and find them where they are at.
Social Media – Social media can exponentially increase your word-of-mouth traffic. Are you using social media to advertise and interact with like-minded folks?
If you don’t have someone working on this type of marketing specifically, it will be difficult to gain any traction.
Getting android promotion is the first piece of the puzzle though. Once you have the downloads, it’s important that people KEEP your app on their device right? We wrote a blog recently about how to increase engagement in your app.
