Follow This For Getting installs

 To give my app a starting I was asking my friends and colleagues to download and android reviews the application and later I realized that this won't help me reach my goal because what I was getting was 10 – 15 downloads a day and my application was nowhere seen on play store when you search “music player”. I got tensed, after good amount of efforts on the application development now I will have to spend time on android promotion too.

After the launch I quit my job and decided to work full time on the application promotion as it was the only thing left which I could do my myself.
I kept adding friends, Even facebook blocked me from sending texts to anyone. The early downloads and android ratings were quite important. They reviewed and downloaded. About 200-300 of them. Started posting on facebook pages and groups and I did get some likes and downloads from there
Commenting on Application reviewer’s videos and sending them my app link asking for reviews through Youtube. Then posting on their new videos, asking people to try it and asking the channel owner to review it. I posted them 100 each day or maybe more.
In the first week of following this routine of promotion I got 1000 downloads and even 25 reviews. At the end of first week of promotion I was getting almost 250 downloads/day. This graph was increasing exponentially.
Earlier my app was not visible on searching “music player” on the play store. But, after I had been posting on quora and other forums telling things about the application, the ranking was raised to 52 from being nowhere in the list in just 1 week. Applications with 50,000 downloads + apps were listed below my application. This was a sign of pure success with 0 spending on Promotion.
I was doing this for 30 days and finally I had the result. It was 10,000 downloads in the first month and with it came the $100. next $200 on its way for next month.
So I started experimenting a lot. Like I used to spam on quora, and realized how it can improve the ranks.

Social media management demands a lot of work, especially if you want it to be effective. It is about finding a different strategy for each platform and, most importantly, about finding unique ways to stand out from your competitors.

Again, the point is to benefit from word-of-mouth and from virality to get your app known. Make sure to encourage users to share your content. Always make sure to use your website/blog URLs or your app’s page URL (using deep linking) in all your communications.

Another great strategy to get more downloads is to make your app free at launch. This can sound pretty easy but it will drastically increase your chances of getting more downloads.

If it was already live on the store as paid, make it free for a few days or weeks. This will inevitably stir curiosity and drive more downloads.

If your app is free but offers paid in-apps, make your IAPs free for a little while. This will increase your number of downloads and encourage people to use your app more. Engagement rate will increase and the App Store/Play Store will reward you by boosting your app rankings.

Obviously, you can avoid negative reviews and ratings by providing the best experience possible to your users. Start by correcting bugs as quickly as possible. Also, make sure to provide your users with a point of contact to reach out in case they have complaints. An email address or a help form on the app itself will do.


Last but not least, it is essential to try getting other people to mention or talk about your app. This will reinforce your brand awareness and reputation, which will inevitably bring you more downloads.

Going to the media is a great technique to drive attention. The first thing you should do is to build a complete press kit including some visual and written materials (download URL, app icon, screenshots, boilerplate, PDF presentation, etc.). Make your assets as attractive and engaging as possible.

The next step will be to send a great press release to all tech journalists and influencers that you can find. Try reaching out by email and don’t forget about your subject line: make it unique!

The point is to convince them talking about your app. If your app is not live yet, give them access to your beta version. Describe and explain why your app is one of a kind and why they should cover it over an article. Make sure to show off your best features and functionalities.

You can also reach out to bloggers who could find your app interesting for their audience. For example, if your app is a fitness app, make sure to reach out to famous health influencers and bloggers. Use a creative and unique pitch. Try building a strong relationship with them. Hopefully, they will love your app and will showcase it in their next articles/videos.  When you have nothing android app promotion, follow these steps:

  1. Polish your app page in the App Store. ASO (App Store Optimization) is essential, especially if you are not ready to put in some money in the promo.
    1. Title and short description: Use your best keywords. If you can - also use them in Bundle ID and Developer Name.
    2. Description: Write a text with top keywords related to your app, and try to repeat the main keywords 2 to 3 times in the description.
    3. App icon: Make it as attractive as a candy wrapper. It sells your app.
    4. Screenshots: Test out several options with “Store listing experiments” feature in Google Play or via third-party A/B test solution for Apple App Store. They can be just phone frames on a bright background with key features in the text above, or you can show screens from different angles, add brand characters, etc.
    5.     4. If content is your strong side - try guest blogging, start your blog, podcast or Youtube channel. There are many formats out there you can test.
    5. Become active in relevant communities on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, forums, etc. Really put effort into helping others, and later on ask them to check out your app. You can get not only installs and links to your app page but valuable feedback.
  3. Make sure to build on your user base with referral program within the app. Multiply the number of users you already have with some incentive or upgrade.
